Even with 10 men, last season’s club never would have played such horrible defense with a 2-0 lead. Champions almost always find a way to hold it together, and that’s not what the Galaxy are right now.
Gonzalez was the heart of the team’s backline, and there’s little hope for recovery with him on the sidelines. I’ve rarely been more embarrassed as a Galaxy fan than when I watched the defense stand around as Alan Gordon scored the game-winning goal. The sooner a healthy Gonzalez can return to the lineup, the better off this club will be. Without him, the Galaxy are a mess.”
